I'm currently on a bit of a creative journey at the minute (early apologises for the cliches), about where to begin with my photography. I am a lover and a fantasist of the finer details and elevating them to really open and blow our minds about what lies around us. However, I don't want to be a nature photographer. All that waiting around and carting around heavy lenses and sitting in the rain just doesn't appeal to me. I absolutely admire and am inspired by all nature photographers and their craft is something indescribable, but I'll leave that to the pros.
My trusty 50mm is my go to, it didn't upset my bank balance and it doesn't upset my shoulder blades. But I feel like I've fallen too deep in love and I need to explore wider, by that I mean angles - literally. I don't really know what lens to purchase that will get me that same super buttery bokeh and yet also bring more of my images to life.
Portraiture is where I think my heart lies and I've got some exciting projects on the horizon with a few friends to really test myself and see what else I am capable of. But for the mean time here's a couple of my favourite images with my favourite 50mm.
